Before work is agreed
In England, off-mains sewage must have a suitable treatment and discharge arrangement. Check the applicable general binding rules and whether a permit, planning or building approval is needed. A septic tank cannot discharge directly to a watercourse.

Can you inspect a septic system before a house purchase?
Yes. Ask for a septic inspection alongside the homebuyer drainage survey. We agree the accessible areas, records and reporting scope beforehand; concealed parts or an unconfirmed outlet can limit conclusions.
Will a new septic tank solve a failing drainage field?
Not necessarily. The tank and the disposal area need separate assessment. A replacement tank does not make unsuitable ground suitable.
Do you empty septic tanks?
Routine tanker emptying is not one of our offered services. This page is for investigation, installation and replacement.
