Before work is agreed
In England, off-mains sewage must have a suitable treatment and discharge arrangement. Check the applicable general binding rules and whether a permit, planning or building approval is needed. A septic tank cannot discharge directly to a watercourse.

Does installing a treatment plant guarantee compliance?
No. Suitability depends on the discharge, location, installation and operation. The site must be checked against the applicable rules and any permit or permission requirements.
Does a treatment plant need electricity?
Many systems use powered equipment. The selected manufacturer specification determines the supply and servicing requirements; we clarify those before agreeing the installation.
Can you replace an existing septic tank with a plant?
We can investigate and discuss that option. A site assessment must establish whether the proposed plant and discharge arrangement suit the property.
